The Illegal Club
TICK TACK, Mechelsesteenweg 247, 2018 Antwerpen (BE)
TICK TACK opens The Illegal Club: a new permanent space for sound and performance in the former air-raid shelter of De Zonnewijzer, the Brutalist landmark designed by Léon Stynen in 1955.
For the opening, The Illegal Club expands beyond the shelter to take over the entire building. On the ground floor and mezzanine, more than fifty artists living and working in Belgium each present a studio work created off the record: an experiment, an early work, or a sidetrack alongside the main trajectory of their practice.
Opening 9 October, 7 pm
